Why Choose Locking Primary School?
Inclusive and supportive: we have a real commitment to inclusivity and providing support for all children, regardless of their individual needs or learning styles and have experienced and dedicated staff and resources for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is why we were chosen to launch Treetops, a nurturing, moderate learning disabilities (MLD) resource base on the school site.
Holistic approach: we focus on growing the whole child as an individual, inspiring a love of learning and a sense of community, and belonging. To do this we are looking for inspirational teachers to support children with their physical, emotional, social, intellectual, artistic needs.
Challenge and support: we grow good quality teachers by offering a supportive and collaborative environment where you'll receive ongoing professional development and coaching to excel in your career. You’ll work hard but develop as a teacher and make a big impact in and around the school community.
Incredible surroundings: we have large, natural green spaces, which create a lovely and inspiring learning environment for both children and teachers. You’ll have lots of space to explore outside and in which to take your teaching opportunities to a different dimension.
Community focus: as a close village school community, Locking is more than just an educational establishment; we are a vibrant hub that brings together pupils, teachers, parents, and villagers. School fairs, performances, firework displays and our work in the community have become shared traditions that further strengthen connections and raise funds for shared goals. We have an incredible PTA who really do achieve great things throughout the year.
